Amazon delivery was great -order placed on 23/6/2010, goods despatched on 24/6 and received today 25/6.
I bought this camera because it claimed to have a 28mm wide angle lens. So far I have not noticed any big difference between my existing Sanyo camera and this one. It has a 5*zoom capability and also claims the same as 5*wide! The shots are good and sharp. Easy handling and a lot of options e.g. scenic, potrait etc at you fingertips. Camera is very light and handy. I ordered the pink colour because that was the only coulr in stock. It is between pink and maroon. Soon after ordering Amazon dropped the price by anothe £10 pounds!
The documentation is straight forward and has very little in it on the operations of the camera, but that is not an issue. However the online documentation is very comprehensive. Be careful in using the language options - En for English and UK for Ukraine.
I will update this report once I have tried it out a few times. Pleased with the purchase so far. It is good value for the money.

Bought the finepix ax280 a few weeks ago and I am now on hols writing review.
The camera is nice and small and fairly simple to use ( has a few picture settings that I have not used yet)
It does not 'eat' batteries so have taken 100+ photos with the first set.
14mp is more than enough for ameture/holiday photos and the 5x optical zoom means that no clarity is lost when in use.
I am happy with this camera and hope to use it for years to come.

I have had a Fuji Finepix Z series camera since 2001 and it served me well in all weather conditions in several countries both for work and holiday purposes. Don't know when or where but I manged to mislay my old Fuji and so I decided to get a new one and this one suits me fine. The camera is reasonable priced and is easy to use. The instructional manual comes in around ten different languages which was useful for me as I was able to buy one for a Russian speaking friend at work. It would be nice if it came with a battery that can be charged and a camera case but I suppose those extras would bump up the price.

however very easy to accidentaly turn on eg in pocket/handbag so batteries constantly running out
needs a hard case to prevent this

Early days yet, but first impressions are favourable.
